Is This You?

Four Reasons People Call Us

Your fan has stopped working or barely moves air — after every shower, the mirror stays fogged for 20–30 minutes and the moisture just sits in the room.

The damage is already showing up: a persistent musty smell, dark mould spots on the ceiling or grout, paint peeling, or drywall that feels soft to the touch.

Your fan still runs but has gotten noticeably louder or weaker over time — the motor is wearing out and a replacement is overdue.

You're renovating your bathroom and need a new exhaust fan added — wired in properly as part of the project.

Our Approach

The Installation Process

Pricing quoted after assessment — varies by scope

A straightforward fan replacement is a quick, affordable job. New wiring, new locations, or limited attic access add time and cost — we quote honestly before we start.

1

Send Your Details

A quick description and a photo is usually enough to quote:

  • Photo of the existing fan (or the ceiling location if there's no fan currently)
  • Bathroom size — approximate square footage helps with CFM sizing
  • Attic access — whether there's attic space above the bathroom

Submit online → or text 778-302-7060 — whatever works.

2

Free Assessment + Transparent Quote

Once we receive your details:

  • We confirm the right approach for your situation View types →

About Installation

Replacing a fan in the same location typically doesn't require a permit. Running new wiring from the panel requires an electrical permit — we handle it if needed.
If drywall cutting is required for new wiring or duct routing, patching and painting is the homeowner's responsibility.

About the Fan

For bathroom exhaust fans, we supply and install — materials included. You're also welcome to supply your own fan if you have one.
For hood fan replacements, please supply the unit yourself — hood fan models vary by brand and range hood.

What the Work Involves

The right approach depends on what's currently in place and what's needed.

Most common

Fan Replacement

Existing fan is old, noisy, or dead. We swap in a new unit at the same location — existing wiring reused, duct routing re-checked and corrected if needed. Fast, affordable, no permit required in most cases.

New installation

New Fan — No Existing Wiring

No fan in place. Common in older homes, basement suites, and bathrooms that were never properly ventilated. We run new wiring, install the fan, and duct it correctly to the exterior. A permit is required.

Kitchen

Hood Fan Replacement

The fan motor inside your range hood has died or is getting loud — we replace the hood fan unit and reconnect the wiring cleanly. Same location, existing circuit. We replace the hood fan — not a full range hood installation.

FAQ

Common Questions

Replacing an existing fan in the same location typically doesn't require a permit in most municipalities. Adding a new fan where none existed — running new wiring from the panel — requires an electrical permit and inspection. We advise you upfront on what applies and handle the permit if it's needed.

In most cases, replacement is the better call. Exhaust fan motors are not serviceable parts — when a fan starts making noise or losing power, the motor is wearing out. A new fan costs less than a service call to diagnose and attempt a repair, runs quieter, and moves more air. If your fan is over 10 years old and showing any symptoms, replace it.

A straightforward fan replacement typically takes 1–2 hours. Installing a new fan where there's no existing wiring or duct — especially if attic access is limited — takes longer, typically 2–4 hours. We'll give you a realistic time estimate with your quote.

Yes. Humidity-sensing fans automatically turn on when moisture rises and switch off when the air clears — no timer, no forgetting to run it after a shower. They work with standard wiring and are a straightforward swap or new install. Let us know at quote time and we'll factor it in.

We replace existing kitchen exhaust fans — same location, existing circuit. Full range hood installations involving new cabinetry cutouts, new ductwork, or structural modifications are outside our scope as a pure electrical service. If you need the electrical circuit wired for a range hood as part of a renovation, contact us to discuss.
